How former Mountaineers performed in NFL Week 1

Nine former West Virginia football players saw game action through Week 1 of the NFL season, and one was ruled inactive with an injury. Here is a breakdown of how they performed.
A look around the league
Zach Frazier, C
Frazier built off his strong rookie campaign as he was rewarded with the 13th-best offensive lineman grade and second-best at center, per PFF. He played a statistically perfect game with no penalties or pressures allowed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Colton McKivitz, RT
The San Francisco 49ers’ right tackle saw his 35th consecutive start in Week 1. He was graded the 13th highest tackle in the league, at a 98.7 efficiency rating after one penalty and a quarterback hurry. He led the way for a rush attack consisting of 119 yards on 36 attempts en route to a 17-13 win against the Seattle Seahawks.
Geno Smith, QB
Smith began his tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders with a 20-13 win over the New England Patriots on the road. Through the Sunday games, he totaled the second-most passing yards, 362, while throwing a touchdown and an interception each.
Dante Stills, DT
Beginning his third season with the Arizona Cardinals, Stills saw 34 snaps. He totaled three tackles (two solo) and a stuff. He clogged running lanes with a 30% run stoppage, the highest on the team, helping earn a 20-13 win against the New Orleans Saints.
Rasul Douglas, CB
Recently signed with the Miami Dolphins, and accumulated 44 snaps. He was targeted five times, allowing three catches for 60 yards. He made one tackle in the 33-8 loss against the Indianapolis Colts.
Rex Sunahara and Austin Brinkman, LS
Sunahara and Brinkman handled their teams’ long snapping duties in Week 1. Sunahara plays for the Cleveland Browns, who lost 17-16 to the Cincinnati Bengals. Brinkman snaps for the Houston Texans, losing 14-9 to the Los Angeles Rams.
David Sills V, WR
After getting cut a week ago, the Atlanta Falcons signed Sills to its practice squad and elevated him to the 53-man roster after Darnell Mooney was ruled out. Sills saw two offensive snaps with no targets.
Wyatt Milum, G
Milum will have to wait for a knee injury to heal before making his NFL debut, as he was ruled inactive by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 5.
