How former Mountaineers performed in NFL Week 14
In the NFL’s Week 14 slate of games, eight former Mountaineers saw game action, while one was on a bye week. One helped his team get to the top of its division while another saw his best PFF grade of the season.
Here is a breakdown of how everyone played and was graded this week.
Around the league
Rasul Douglas, CB
Douglas was the fourth-highest-graded defender on the Miami Dolphins at 79.9. In 28 passing snaps, he was targeted nine times, allowing only two receptions for 23 yards, and added a tackle in the Dolphins’ 34-10 victory against the New York Jets.
Rex Sunahara, LS
Sunahara made his fourth tackle of the season en route to his highest graded performance this year at 79.9. He was called upon to snap for seven punts and three kick attempts in the Cleveland Browns’ 31-29 loss against the Tennessee Titans.
Zach Frazier, C
Playing in all 52 of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive snaps, Frazier’s 69.1 grade helped push the Steelers to the top of the AFC North with a 27-22 win against the Baltimore Ravens. He was most effective in pass protection with an 83 grade, allowing Aaron Rodgers to throw for 284 yards and a touchdown.
Austin Brinkman, LS
The Houston Texans gave Brinkman lots of action this week, as he was on the field 12 times, snapping for eight punts and four kick attempts. He was graded at 61.5 in the Texans’ 20-10 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dante Stills, DT
Stills saw his highest snap count of the season, totaling 48 in the Arizona Cardinals’ 45-17 loss against the Los Angeles Rams. 25 of the snaps were at defensive tackle, while the other 23 were at defensive end. He made one tackle with two quarterback pressures.
Wyatt Milum, G
Milum took six snaps as an extra lineman, lined up as an inline tight end. He saw five snaps blocking for the run and a snap in pass protection in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 36-19 win against the Indianapolis Colts.
Geno Smith, QB
Smith missed 14 snaps after exiting the game early due to a hit towards the end of the third quarter that “locked up” his shoulder in the Las Vegas Raiders’ 24-17 loss against the Denver Broncos. In 37 snaps, he was 13-for-21 with 116 passing yards and a touchdown.
David Sills V, WR
For the second consecutive week, Sills totaled a season-high snap count of 60. He was on the field for 33 pass attempts and 27 rushes. Sills was targeted four times, but failed to make a catch in the Atlanta Falcons’ 37-9 loss against the Seattle Seahawks.
