West Virginia has landed a commitment from Butte College (Ca.) 2026 edge Jeremiah Johnson following an official visit to Morgantown over the weekend.

Johnson, 6-foot-3, 220-pounds, is coming off a season where he recorded 34 tackles, 11.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks and that drew the attention of the coaching staff.

He announced his decision on Instagram.

Johnson also took a visit to Kansas State down the stretch but elected to commit to the Mountaineers.

Bandits coach Jeff Casteel and defensive assistant Jake Casteel served as the lead recruiters for the junior college prospect and he is slated to play bandit for the Mountaineers.

Johnson also held offers from Kansas State, UTSA, Colorado State, Incarnate Word, Eastern Michigan, Idaho, Hawaii, Sacramento State and a number of others.

Johnson has two years of eligibility remaining in his career and is set to graduate in December. He is originally from Nevada.

WVSports.com will have more with Johnson in the near future.
