Through three games, West Virginia has been pretty balanced on both sides of the ball, and the stats highlight both the good and the bad. The Mountaineers are perfect in the red zone and tough against the run, while the offense has leaned on a ground game that sits inside the top 35 nationally.

On the flip side, third-down struggles, time of possession, and penalties stand out as issues that need fixing. With league play right around the corner, tightening those areas will be important.
