Nick Saban: "I'm a Mountaineer at heart"

Legendary college football head coach Nick Saban showed some Mountaineer pride during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Friday.
Saban, a Monongah, West Virginia native, made it clear that his heart is still with the Mountaineers while discussing the program with McAfee, who played at WVU under current head coach Rich Rodriguez.
“I’m a Mountaineer at heart. That’s what I grew up watching. I’m all for the Mountaineers. I’m hopeful they have success this week. I’d love to see them beat Pitt next week,” Saban said.
The comments are another reminder of Saban’s ties to his home state and his support for West Virginia football.
