RB coach Larry Porter expected to head to Auburn
West Virginia running backs coach Larry Porter is expected to take a job at Auburn according to a report.
Pete Nakos of On3 reports that Porter is set to return to Auburn where he previously worked from 2017-20 as the tight ends coach.
Porter spent only one season in Morgantown when he was hired to replace departing running backs coach Chad Scott in the spring. Porter, a 28-year coaching veteran, also had stops at Oklahoma State, LSU, Arizona State and Texas and was the head coach at Memphis.
The Mountaineers will now need to find another running backs coach in the second year under head coach Rich Rodriguez for the second consecutive off-season.
