West Virginia Head Coach Rich Rodriguez addressed the media following the 17-10 Ohio loss and here is a summary of what was said.

–Rodriguez said he was very disappointed and it starts with him. He failed them this week and felt they had a good week of practice and they were ready to play but they weren’t. He knew there were going to be some growing pains but he thinks they’ll do a better job.

–Rodriguez said they got banged up a little bit but the guys were playing hard. It’s going to hurt for the next 20 hours or so but they know who’s next and they need to get them ready to go and be ready for Saturday.

–Whether you win or lose. The biggest thing they have to do with losses if they have to learn as much as they can. Everybody players, coaches.

–Rodriguez just wanted to try to get a spark switching quarterbacks. Wanted to try to do some quarterback run stuff but it wasn’t anybody’s fault at quarterback it was his.

–Rodriguez didn’t see the pass at the goaline but he couldn’t tell if it was a catch.

–Parker Navarro is phenomenal with his ability to scramble. He is a great playmaker and he is dynamic.

–Rodriguez said it didn’t look good for Jahiem White on the sidelines but he hasn’t talked to the medical staff. You lost some of his explosiveness but they weren’t executing before then.

–Rodriguez felt that West Virginia had plenty of opportunities with the turnovers forced by the defense and they battled and played hard. They played well enough to win but when you lose everybody loses but they’re going to take this and learn from it.
