Rich Rodriguez confirms that Jahiem White and Jaden Bray are out for the season

West Virginia will be down two playmakers on offense for the rest of the season after head coach Rich Rodriguez announced that junior running back Jahiem White and redshirt senior wide receiver Jaden Bray will miss the year.
Rodriguez announced the news at the top of his weekly radio show.
White, 5-foot-7, 190-pounds, was injured on a tackle against Ohio which forced him from the game. He was later carted off the field due to the injury from the sidelines.
The running back was the leading returning rusher for the Mountaineers from 2024 with 845 yards and 7 touchdowns and had compiled 133 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 24 carries in 2025.
Rodriguez confirmed that he will be undergoing surgery.
“Feel bad because he’s worked really hard, great player. Got a great enthusiasm about him and as I told him today he’ll come back better, stronger next year,” he said.
Bray, 6-foot-2, 209-pounds, was also injured in the game after leading the Mountaineers in receiving with 4 catches for 69 yards. He will also be undergoing surgery and is dealing with the same foot injury that cost him all but five games in the 2024 campaign.
“Jaden Bray who was really playing well he’s got the same injury he had with his foot I think a year ago and he’s got to have surgery to fix that again,” he said.
