Ross Hodge officially names Yusuf Ali to coaching staff

West Virginia head coach Ross Hodge has made it official that assistant Yusuf Ali will be joining his initial coaching staff in Morgantown.

Ali, a native of Toronto, Canada, comes to WVU from Arizona State, where he served as an assistant coach for Bobby Hurley this past season. Ali played a pivotal role in recruiting at Arizona State.

Prior to that Ali co-founded and served as the head coach of the Toronto Basketball Academy and DeepEnd Training from 2018-21 and was an assistant at Simon Frazier.

WVSports.com initially reported that Ali was expected to be the hire this summer, while Joe Tipton later confirmed the news.
