West Virginia baseball adds 2027 LHP Mason McGill

West Virginia has picked up another commitment on the baseball diamond with 2027 left-handed pitcher Mason McGill making his pledge.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound southpaw is from Hedgesville (WV) and plays travel ball with the Mid-Atlantic Red Sox ‘27 squad. A standout on the mound, McGill was named First Team All-EPAC and earned Second Team All-State honors in 2025.
According to Perfect Game, he’s the No. 1 player in West Virginia for the 2027 class and ranks No. 500 nationally and No. 69 among all left-handed pitchers.
McGill tops out at 90 mph on the fastball and mixes in a changeup, curveball, and slider with a feel for spin and command.
West Virginia continues to build for the future.
