West Virginia baseball adds catcher Creed Erdos from the transfer portal

West Virginia baseball has added James Madison catcher Creed Erdos from the transfer portal, he announced on Saturday.
Erdos played in eight games as a true freshman, starting five of them this past season. In those games, he hit .286 with a double and three RBIs, in 14 at-bats. Erdos also threw out one of four potential base stealers.
Erdos is familiar with the regional footprint of West Virginia, as he is originally from Cranberry Township, Pa, attending Seneca Valley High School. In high school, he was a WPIAL All-Conference selection three different times and named an All-State Second Team selection his senior year.
He is a right-handed batter, listed at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds. He will have four years of eligibility remaining due to a medical redshirt.
