West Virginia baseball added Andrew Middleton out of the transfer portal, he announced on Wednesday.

Middleton, a left-handed pitcher from UMass, spent two seasons there, totaling 35.0 innings across those two years. This past season he tallied 11.2 innings, allowing one hit and no runs, and he had 29 strikeouts to only 11 walks as well.

This was an improvement from his freshman season, where he posted a 4.63 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched. Middleton also only appeared in four games this season, not playing after March 15th due to an injury.

Middleton is the third left-handed pitcher WVU has added through the transfer portal this cycle, and is the 12th commitment overall. He is also the seventh pitcher the Mountaineers have added so far.

Middleton is originally from Canton, Massachusetts, and is listed at 6-foot-2, 225 pounds. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
