West Virginia has unveiled its 2026 baseball schedule, featuring 54 games with 25 at Wagener Field at Kendrick Family Ballpark. The slate includes 19 matchups against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams and seven opponents that reached the postseason.

The Mountaineers are coming off a record-setting season that included 44 wins, a second straight trip to the NCAA Super Regionals, and their second Big 12 regular season title in three years.

WVU opens its 135th season of baseball and second under head coach Steve Sabins with a road series at Georgia Southern from Feb. 13-15, followed by another weekend away at Liberty from Feb. 20-22.

The home opener comes early again this year, as Canisius visits Morgantown on Feb. 24. For the third straight season, the Mountaineers will play a February home game.

After that, West Virginia heads back to Georgia to face Kennesaw State from Feb. 27-March 1 before returning for a six-game homestand that includes Radford (March 3-4), defending Ivy League champion Columbia (March 6-8), and Maryland (March 10).

Big 12 play and key matchups

Big 12 play starts March 13-15 at Baylor before WVU returns home for Penn State (March 17) and BYU (March 19-21). The Mountaineers face Marshall three times this season, starting March 24 in Huntington, with later games set for April 7 in Morgantown and May 5 in Charleston at GoMart Ballpark.

One of the highlights of the non-conference schedule comes March 27-29 when West Virginia makes its first-ever trip to Arizona State, followed by a single game at Arizona on March 31.

April brings an Easter weekend home series with UCF (April 3-5), a trip to Texas Tech (April 10-12), and a neutral-site matchup with Penn State in Hagerstown, Maryland (April 15). WVU also hosts Houston (April 17-19) and the annual Backyard Brawl with Pitt (April 21) before road series at Cincinnati (April 24-26) and Penn State (April 29).

The regular season wraps up with Kansas State at home (May 1-3), Kansas on the road (May 8-10), and TCU at home (May 14-16) to close things out in Morgantown for the second straight year.
