West Virginia baseball lands commitment from 2027 RHP Ryder Concannon

West Virginia has picked up another piece for the future with a commitment from 2027 right-handed pitcher Ryder Concannon.
The Saline, Michigan native stands 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and has shown advanced tools for his age on the mound. Concannon has already touched 91 mph with his fastball to go along with a developing mix that includes a changeup, curveball and slider. His fastball has been clocked in the upper 80s to low 90s with strong spin rates, while his breaking balls show promise in the upper 70s to low 80s.
At the plate, Concannon has also displayed power potential, posting a 102.7 mph exit velocity and driving the ball out to 364 feet in showcase settings. His athleticism extends beyond the mound with a 6.98 60-yard dash time and solid defensive ability in the outfield.
Concannon competes with the Motor City Hit Dogs 16U National team and is considered one of the top arms in the Michigan 2027 class. Perfect Game gives him an 8.5 grade, projecting him as a potential high-level college prospect.
This addition continues to build the Mountaineers’ long-term depth on the mound with a prospect who still has two more years of development before arriving in Morgantown.
