Takeaways from West Virginia’s snap counts
West Virginia played one quarterback for the duration of the game for the first time this season. The Mountaineers trimmed down on the rotations on offense with just three running backs, six wide receivers, three tight ends and five offensive linemen.
On defense, the Mountaineers trimmed down their numbers significantly from the last game with some young players getting opportunities to see snaps at some spots.
