Takeaways from West Virginia’s snap counts
West Virginia played more than one quarterback for the first time in five games but the rest of the rotations stayed largely consistent outside of some injury issues that forced others into action.
On defense, the Mountaineers had to defend a total of 94 plays which elevated some players into bigger roles on defense and expanded the total number of players that saw the field. This was the biggest number in several weeks with more players seeing the field at every spot on defense, albeit some of them late when the game was already more than decided.
