West Virginia lands 2026 DL Yendor Mack
West Virginia has landed more help on the defensive front with a commitment from Harrisburg (Pa.) Susquehanna 2026 defensive lineman Yendor Mack.
Mack, 6-foot-3, 295-pounds, picked the Mountaineers over offers from Michigan State, Coastal Carolina, Massachusetts, Old Dominion, Akron, Buffalo and several others.
The Rivals three-star narrowed his options down to West Virginia and Michigan State after visiting both schools on the final weekend prior to signing day but elected to commit to the Mountaineers. Previously he had been committed to Coastal Carolina and Massachusetts prior to that.
The Mountaineers had only been involved with Mack for a few weeks prior with defensive line coach William Green and defensive coordinator Zac Alley both involved in his recruitment.
On his official visit Mack was especially impressed with not only the people on campus but the plan that the Mountaineers had for him as both a zero and three technique in the scheme. West Virginia was impressed with his athleticism and motor along the defensive line.
Mack is coming off a season where he had 47 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.
The Pennsylvania product is another key addition up front for the Mountaineers as the coaching staff looks to sure up the future of the defensive line.
WVSports.com will have more with Mack in the near future.
