West Virginia lands commitment from California quarterback Wyatt Brown

West Virginia has added to its future quarterback room with the commitment of 2026 Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame signal caller Wyatt Brown.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound left-hander transferred this offseason from Santa Monica to Notre Dame to test himself against tougher competition in the Mission League. Brown brings a dual-threat skill set, using both his arm and legs to make plays.
He’s also put an emphasis on track and weight training to improve his speed, strength and stamina. That work has paid off, with Brown showing steady development as a prospect.
“I’m excited for competition. Since I got to high school, I dig competition. That’s all I want. It’s not going to be easier, but that’s what makes you better, especially for the next level,” Brown said earlier this year.
For West Virginia, this commitment adds another talented piece to the 2026 class as the program continues to build depth and versatility under center.
