WVU freshman Amir Jenkins makes Adidas 3SSB first team

West Virginia true freshman point guard Amir Jenkins is already making noise before he even suits up for the Mountaineers. Jenkins landed first-team All-Circuit honors on the Adidas 3SSB, putting up 17.7 points, 4.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals a night against some of the country’s best.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Worcester, Massachusetts reclassified from the 2026 class to 2025 so he could enroll early at WVU. On3 ranks Jenkins as the No. 86 overall prospect in the country, the No. 11 point guard, and the top player in Massachusetts.
Hodge sees immediate role
New head coach Ross Hodge has already made it clear that he expects Jenkins to contribute right away.
“He’s a guy that makes other people better by being around him. So feel fortunate to be able to add him when we added him,” Hodge said.
Jenkins brings a strong basketball IQ, two-way ability, and a fearless approach that should fit right into Hodge’s system.
