WVU’s Jahiem White lands on Walter Camp watch list

For the second straight week, Jahiem White has landed on a major preseason watch list.
The West Virginia running back was named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List, becoming one of just 11 running backs, and the only one from the Big 12 recognized among the 46 total players across the country.
White’s no stranger to attention. After a breakout freshman year in 2023 that saw him set the WVU single-season record for yards per carry (7.7), he followed it up by leading the Mountaineers in rushing last fall with 844 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s already piled up close to 1,700 rushing yards in his career with 11 touchdowns on the ground.
The junior was also a Freshman All-American two years ago and has already picked up a few more preseason accolades this summer, including All-Big 12 honors from Athlon, Lindy’s, and Phil Steele.
White is one of the most electric playmakers on the roster and will be a key part of WVU’s offense again in 2025.
