You might remember these Colonials when they were once WVU targets

West Virginia will kick off the season against Robert Morris and we examine players on the Colonials roster that were once on the recruiting radar for the Mountaineers.
Tyler Evans, WR
Evans actually played for the Mountaineers after starting his career as a walk-on wide receiver under the previous coaching staff and spent three seasons with the Mountaineers before transferring in the spring. He saw action in four games and has three years remaining.
Shafeek Smith, CB
West Virginia never extended a scholarship offer to Smith but he did visit campus and expressed interest in the Mountaineers football program. Smith spent four seasons at Towson where he recorded 98 tackles and appeared in 34 games before moving onto Robert Morris.
