The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of training camp, and with that, former Mountaineer Pat McAfee took his show there on Wednesday.

During his show, McAfee was interviewing new Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was asked about center Zach Frazier.

“It starts and ends with that kid. He’s got a chance to be really special in the league. A lot of the great centers I have had were also wrestlers, and he was a great wrestler in high school. He’s super smart. He’s a Mountaineer,” Rodgers said.

Frazier is entering his second season with the Steelers after he started 15 games in his rookie season. Frazier is also a native of Fairmont, W. Va., and he was a two-time All-American while at West Virginia.

When talking about Frazier, Rodgers joked about him asserting himself at the line of scrimmage so far throughout training camp, saying Frazier isn’t shy about making calls on the fly.

“He’s a little too smug for my liking, though, he’s out there making calls for me right now, telling me if I got the wrong check. I got to get his ass in line a little bit, let him know who’s in charge. Seriously, Zach’s done a great job, starts and ends with him,” Rodgers said.

The Steelers have their first preseason game on Aug. 9 against the Jaguars, and then open the regular season against the Jets on Sept. 7.
