Cal-Stanford set attendance record with Big Swing

The Big Swing hit a home run. For weeks, Stanford has aimed to set the NCAA softball single-game attendance record while they call the Stanford football stadium home as they await their new facility next year. On Saturday against their crosstown rival, Cal, they had 13,207 people in attendance to set the new record.
Earlier this April, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma set the regular season record with 9,259 people at the Bedlam matchup at Devon Park in Oklahoma City. There were 12,566 people in attendance for session one (first two games) on May 30, 2024, of the Women’s College World Series. Oklahoma’s championship-clinching game over Texas in 2025 had 12,324 people.
