The Bruin Bubble is getting bigger. Softball America’s top-rated pitcher, Coral Williams, as well as four-star position players Zaliyah Jones and Eva Bustamante, committed to UCLA after their official visits.

Williams is a righty who was the workhorse for Athletics Mercado Smith 18U this summer. She doesn’t have the height compared to a lot of aces in today’s game, but relies on her spin and maturity in the circle.

“When I stepped on campus, it felt like I was home. The coaching staff will provide me with all the support to make me a better student, athlete, and person,” Williams said.

Jones is a part of the Power Surge organization. She is an explosive middle infielder with an elite combination of foot speed on defense and overhand strength. Can make plays in the hole with ease. Her athleticism is equally gifted on offense, with the ability to steal bases and provide home run power.

Bustamante was part of the Athletics Mercado team that won the PGF Premier National Championship at the 16U level. The left-handed swinging outfielder fits the prototypical outfield star we’ve seen in Westwood. She can hit the long ball and even give a power slap for extra bases.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a part of that Bruin Magic,” Bustamante said. “The campus, the players, and especially the coaches are absolutely amazing and the Bruin Family is where I want to be.”

UCLA also picked up a verbal from Macai Johnson, a high-end three-star recruit from the Athletics Mercado system as well.
