Florida lands trio of four-star hitters for 2027 class
Tim Walton and the Florida staff were busy during the first weekend of the 2027 recruiting cycle. The star bats from Lady Magic Munoz in Taylor Jennings and Yelli Calvo, as well as Taegan Lermann, a strong infielder from Hotshots National Nelson.
Jennings is a sweet swinging lefty with power to all fields and the ability to land barrels at different heights and adjust to speeds throughout the zone. She has next-level tools and was absolutely on fire at the plate this summer.
Calvo is a strong left-side infielder who has the ability to be an elite force at the next level. She can field, throw, and drive the ball for power. She is already at an elite level, and her upside is tremendous. While she is not one of the highest-ranked players currently, it would not be surprising to see her rise closer to her signing day.
“Florida stood out to me because it immediately felt like home to me & the environment & coaches made me feel wanted,” Calvo said. Lastly, it was a childhood dream of mine to put on a Gator uniform, so when they gave me an opportunity, I made sure I didn’t miss out. It is definitely the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Lermann is a very good athlete who can play around the horn and pitch. She has a good combination of speed and power on offense and has a tendency to come through in clutch moments for her team.
“I chose Florida due to family and Florida culture,” Lermann said. “I am originally from Florida and have dreamed of being a Gator since I was young. With family spread throughout the state, it helps to have the support close by. I can’t say enough about the program, facilities, and coaches. Super excited to represent the Gator Nation.”
