Top-ranked 2027 recruit Aspen Boulware is staying home

The top-ranked 2027 recruit, Aspen Boulware, has made her decision. After visiting Florida State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Texas Tech, Boulware has decided to stay home. The Columbia native committed to South Carolina on Tuesday.
“I’m just totally grateful for USC and the opportunity they’ve given me to be able to play and represent their school but most of all I give all honor and glory to God. He’s directed my paths through it all, and He’s the reason I’m blessed to say I’m moving forward with my recruiting process and committing to USC,” Boulware said.

Boulware is a generational talent on both sides of the ball and a pure 5-tool player. She has already experienced success on the international stage. The Birmingham Thunderbolts Premier product has elite footwork, soft hands, and a quick transfer on defense. She is equally as gifted a hitter. She can hit for power, steal bases, and generate runs. Her skill set is elite in every aspect and has the clear ability to be an immediate factor at the next level.
South Carolina shoots up from 14th in the 2027 Team Rankings to ninth. This is a testament to the head coach, Ashley Chastain Woodard, and her staff, as they’ve quickly elevated the Gamecock program in a very short amount of time.
