Alabama basketball continues to add quality games to its 2024-25 non-conference schedule.

According to Jon Rothstein, the Crimson Tide will play host to McNeese State on Monday, Nov. 11. The Cowboys are coached by Will Wade, who spent the 2017-22 seasons at LSU. It will be the first time Wade has faced an SEC team since being fired after the 2022 season.

McNeese is coming off its best season in program history. The Cowboys finished with a 30-4 (17-1 Southland) record, won the Southland Conference and reached the NCAA Tournament for just the third time in school history. Two of the Cowboys’ four losses occurred in the month of November, but McNeese did claim a road win over Michigan in December.

Wade retooled his roster by adding six transfers this offseason, including three from Power Six conferences. That total includes former Ole Miss guard Brandon Murray, who started and played 29 minutes against Alabama in the Rebels loss to the Crimson Tide on Feb. 24.

The home game against McNeese is the latest difficult game added to Alabama’s 2024-25 slate under head coach Nate Oats. The Tide will also welcome Creighton in Tuscaloosa, face Illinois in Birmingham, travel to Purdue and take part in the Players Era Festival, along with Creighton, Houston, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State and Texas A&M.

Nov. 11 – McNeese State
Nov. 26,27, 29 – Players Era Festival (Las Vegas)
Dec. 14 – Creighton
TBD – Illinois (Birmingham)
