Alabama basketball will host Yale at Coleman Coliseum as a part of its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported on Saturday morning. The game’s date and tipoff time are still TBA.

Yale is a strong mid-major program that has been one of the most consistent players in the Ivy League for a long time. The Bulldogs have made the NCAA Tournament the past two seasons and four of the last six, including upsetting 4-seed Auburn in the first round in 2024.

As usual, Nate Oats is loading up on quality competition on the Crimson Tide’s non-conference slate next season. Alabama currently has marquee games locked in against Purdue at home, Arizona in Birmingham and Illinois in Chicago. The Tide will also have three games in the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, and a TBD opponent in the annual SEC/ACC Challenge.

Yale is the second mid-major added to the schedule so far, joining a return game from North Dakota after Alabama traveled up north to play the Fighting Hawks last season.

The Crimson Tide currently has two open roster spots after bringing in four transfer portal additions and losing four players to the portal.
