Matchups, dates and times for the 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge have been determined, and the Alabama men’s basketball team is set to host Clemson on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 8:30 p.m. CT.

This will mark the 10th matchup between the Crimson Tide and Tigers, with the latter owning a 7-2 edge in the all-time series. The two teams last met on Dec. 12, 2020, in Atlanta, where UA lost to Clemson, 64-56. Alabama’s last win over the Tigers came on Dec. 13, 2015, by way of a 51-50 win in Greenville, S.C. Clemson won the following season in Birmingham, 67-54.

Last season, Clemson finished with a 23-11 (14-6 ACC) record but lost its only matchup with an SEC school, a 60-58 loss to in-state rival South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. The Tigers reached the semifinals of the ACC Tournament but suffered a first-round NIT defeat to Morehead State.

The ACC/SEC Men’s Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Tuesday, Nov. 28, and Wednesday, Nov. 29, while the ACC/SEC Women’s Challenge is slated for Nov. 29 and 30. Both men’s and women’s Challenge events will feature games across ESPN’s family of networks.

Alabama’s women’s basketball team is set to travel to Syracuse on Thursday, Nov. 30 (6 p.m.).

In addition to the ACC/SEC Challenge, the Crimson Tide is set to play Purdue in Toronto, face Arizona in Phoenix, play Creighton in Omaha, Neb., face Ohio State and then either Oregon or Santa Clara in the Emerald Coast Classic and play host to South Alabama, Indiana State and Mercer, making for yet another difficult non-conference schedule under Nate Oats.

“If you don’t play the best, I don’t think you can be the best,” said Oats after winning the SEC Tournament title. “… We won on the road at Houston. The Carolina win doesn’t look as good now. They were No. 1 in the country when we beat them. I thought we played pretty well up there. We beat Michigan State. At the time they were a little better. They’re still a really good program. We’re going to continue to schedule that way.

“I think it’s paid off every year we’ve been here.”

ALABAMA NON-CONFERENCE GAMES WITH DATES

Nov. 10 – Indiana State
Nov. 17 – Mercer
Nov. 24 – Ohio State in Destin
