BATON ROUGE — The Alabama men’s basketball team has now reached the 20-win mark after beating LSU 79-69 on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide weren’t as dominant as they were against Vanderbilt earlier in the week, but it was still an important double-digit conference road win.

Alabama is also 10-0 in SEC play for the second time in the last three seasons.

We saw five different Crimson Tide players score in the double-digits with freshmen Noah Clowney and Rylan Griffen leading the way with 14 apiece. Mark Sears and Nimari Burnett each put up 13, while the team’s leading freshman Brandon Miller put up 11 points.

Miller also led the team in rebounds with 10, giving him his fifth double-double of the season.

The first-year phenom only hit one of his four three-point attempts, but the team, as a whole, converted an impressive 44.8% from beyond the arc. That’s now two games in a row where they’ve converted more than 40%, which is encouraging because it comes after a four-game stretch of hitting less than 30% from the three-point line.

Alabama has a home game against the Florida Gators up next. That game is set for 8 p.m. CT (9 p.m. ET) on Wednesday, and it will air on ESPN2. Then, the Crimson Tide will have back-to-back road games against Auburn and Tennessee. The Tigers will host College GameDay for their game against Alabama.
