Alabama basketball will play host to UTSA as a part of its 2025-26 non-conference schedule, per Rocco Miller. The game will be played in Coleman Coliseum on Sunday, Dec. 7 with the tipoff time TBA.

The game will bring UTSA head coach Austin Claunch back to Tuscaloosa, where he served as an assistant coach during the 2023-24 season on the Crimson Tide’s staff that made a run to the Final Four. He’s entering his second year with the Roadrunners, going 12-19 last season.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats has scheduled former assistants in the past, previously playing Arkansas State and former assistant Bryan Hodgson over the past two seasons.

Oats has put together yet another challenging non-conference schedule, and this year’s may be his most challenging yet. He currently has marquee games scheduled against St. John’s in Madison Square Garden (Nov. 8), Purdue at home (Nov. 13), Illinois in Chicago (Nov. 19) and Arizona in Birmingham (Dec. 13). Other marquee games include three unnamed opponents at the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving week and an unnamed opponent in the annual SEC/ACC Challenge.

The Tide will also play North Dakota to open the season (Nov. 3) and has a games against Yale and USF on the schedule with dates TBA.
