Alabama center Cliff Omoruyi signs training camp deal with Toronto Raptors

After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Alabama center Cliff Omoruyi was signed by the Toronto Raptors to an Exhibit-10 undrafted free agent deal, per Tony Jones of The Athletic.

An Exhibit-10 contract is a training camp deal that will allow Omoruyi to play with the Raptors during summer league and have the chance to compete for a two-way contract during training camp later this fall. It’s the same type of contract Grant Nelson signed with the Brooklyn Nets.

Omoruyi spent one year of his college career with the Crimson Tide, his fifth and final season. He averaged 7.9 points and 6.5 rebounds on the season while starting all 37 games over the course of the year. He helped Alabama spend the entire season in the AP top-10 and make the Elite Eight for the second straight season, the program’s third-ever trip to the regional final round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Big Dance was where Omoruyi played some of his best basketball of the season, particularly with a 17-point performance in the first round as Alabama staved off an upset bid from scrappy 15-seed Robert Morris.

Prior to his time at Alabama, Omoruyi spent four years at Rutgers and became one of the best defenders in the Big Ten. He was a Big Ten all-defensive performer in both 2023 and 2024, while being named an honorable mention All-Big Ten player twice in his career as well.
