Alabama defensive back Terrion Arnold has officially declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

“I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support over the past three transformative years,” Arnold said in a statement. “The University and its people have molded me into the man I am today, and I am forever thankful for the extraordinary collegiate journey.

“Special thanks to my coaches for taking a chance on a kid from Tallahassee and pushing me to be a stellar athlete and, more importantly, a better man.

“To my brothers on the field and the teammates who became my family away from home, I cherish every moment spent and the bonds forged during our shared victories and defeats are incomparable.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my family and friends. I carry the love, sacrifices, and encouragement, marking not the end but the beginning of a new chapter.

“With sincere gratitude and anticipation for what lies ahead, I officially declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.”

Arnold, a redshirt sophomore, returned to his starting cornerback spot this past season and also received some reps in the slot at Star. After making seven starts in 2022, Arnold started all 14 games during Alabama’s 2023 campaign and was named a first-team All-American by the AP. He was also recognized as a second-team All-American by the AFCA and Sporting News and was a first-team All-SEC selection by the conference coaches for his 2023 play.

Arnold paced the Crimson Tide defense and was tied for the SEC lead with five interceptions. He also broke up 12 passes, which was the second-best total in the conference, while his 17 passes defended (5 interceptions, 12 PBUs) were tied for the most in the league and were the fifth-most in the nation this past season. Playing multiple roles in the Alabama secondary, Arnold tallied 63 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and one sack in his final year of college.

Arnold’s draft stock seemed to soar as the 2023 season went along. He is considered one of the top cornerback prospects in 2024, as ESPN ranks him fourth behind Kool-Aid McKinstry.

The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the NFL draft is Monday, Jan. 15. Arnold is one of four third-year players to do so, along with McKinstry, Dallas Turner and JC Latham.

The 2024 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 25, through Saturday, April 27, in Detroit.
