Alabama DL Hunter Osborne plans to enter transfer portal

Alabama defensive lineman Hunter Osborne plans to enter the transfer portal during the winter window, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reports.
Osborne spent two seasons at Alabama, redshirting in 2023 as a true freshman after not appearing in a single game. This past season, Osborne appeared in four games, being Western Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri and Mercer. He recorded three tackles on the season as well as one pass breakup.
As a recruit, Osborne was rated as the No. 175 overall player in the 2023 class according to On3’s Industry Rankings. He played at Hewitt-Trussville High School in the state of Alabama, ranking as the No. 14 prospect in the state and the No. 18 defensive lineman in the class.

Osborne enters the portal with three seasons of eligibility remaining. He’s the second Alabama defensive lineman to enter the portal, joining Jehiem Oatis, who announced his plans to enter in the middle of the season.
The NCAA transfer portal’s 20-day window opened on Monday, December 9, and will close on Saturday, December 28. A second, but brief, 10-day window will open from April 16-25.
