The SEC is set to reveal its conference games later this evening, and the league’s two best teams will face off in Tuscaloosa, Ala., next season. Sources tell BamaOnLine that Georgia will travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium to play Alabama at some point during the 2024 campaign.

The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs last met during the regular season in 2020 when Georgia also made the trip to Tuscaloosa – Alabama won that game by a score of 41-24 during the pandemic-affected season. The two SEC powerhouses split the next two meetings, which both took place in the postseason. Alabama owns a 42-26-4 record in the all-time series against the Bulldogs, but Georgia won the last matchup in Indianapolis’ national title game in early 2022.

Alabama boasts the best all-time home winning percentage in the FBS with a 291-54-3 mark at Bryant-Denny Stadium since its opening in 1929. Head coach Nick Saban is 103-8 in home games during his 16 years of leading the Crimson Tide. In addition, UA has won 35 of its last 37 matchups against teams from the soon-to-be-extinct SEC East, including 6-1 against UGA.

In addition to Georgia, Alabama is poised to host Auburn at Bryant-Denny Stadium and travel to play LSU, Oklahoma and Tennessee, according to ESPN senior writer Chris Low. OU and Texas are set to join the Southeastern Conference in advance of the 2024 college football season.

Alabama’s other known 2024 opponents include three home games against Western Kentucky (Aug. 31), South Florida (Sept. 7) and Mercer (Nov. 16), as well as a road game at Wisconsin on Sept. 14, which is part of a home-and-home series between the Crimson Tide and Badgers.

The rest of Alabama’s 2024 SEC opponents will be revealed at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
