A whopping 13 Alabama football commits made the initial On300 rankings, topping their total of ranked commits by any other recruiting outlet. On3 released the first edition of the On300 on Monday, ranking the top 300 prospects in the country for the 2022 class.

The rating scale is as follows: Five-star prospects have grades 98-100, four-star recruits have grades 90-97, while 80-89 grades are for three-stars.

The first 20 prospects are rated as five stars with an initial rating of 98. Each recruiting cycle will finalize with 32 five-stars. The rankings will be updated on a regular schedule throughout the year.

Alabama Football commits ranked

25. EDGE Jeremiah Alexander (97)
Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson

Defensive end Jeremiah Alexander, 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, is Alabama’s top commit in the On300 at No. 25. Though he’s just outside five-star status now, the in-state star is in that range, and he’s got a near consensus across all major recruiting services.

On his way to a back-to-back state title with Thompson High, Alexander posted 116 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and nine sacks in 2020.

39. RB Le’Veon Moss (96)
Baton Rouge (La.) Istrouma

On3 has Alabama running back commit Le’Veon Moss ranked the most favorably at No. 39 in the nation. The Baton Rouge native has clocked in the 4.56-second range in the 40-yard dash and he’s posted a 10.84 in the 100 meters.

Moss runs with a lot of power, and he’ll get even more when he adds to his 6-foot, 190-pound frame.

66. QB Ty Simpson (95)
Martin (Tenn.) Westview

With Quinn Ewers off to Ohio State a year early, Ty Simpson automatically moved up one spot in the quarterback rankings and is No. 66 in the nation, per the On300.

It’s his worst ranking overall, but there’s plenty of time for Simpson to overtake Drew Allar, Cade Klubnik, Connor Weigman and Walker Howard before the rankings are set in stone. The four-star QB’s completion percentage (61%) was lower than that of his competitors in 2020.

70. IOL Tyler Booker (94)
New Haven (Conn.) IMG Academy

IMG Academy offensive lineman Tyler Booker is No. 70 in the On300 and he’s one prospect whose “eliteness” varies from one set of eyes to another. He ranks from No. 6 on ESPN to No. 103 on Rivals, but there’s no arguing he’s going to be a very good college football player.

At 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, Booker has the perfect frame and a very high floor.

86. ATH Emmanuel Henderson (94)
Hartford (Ala.) Geneva County

Emmanuel Henderson’s rating at No. 86 may surprise some, as he’s ranked as high as No. 16 by ESPN. He’s always the best player on the field in the small town of Hartford, and his versatility presents a lot of different opportunities for him at Alabama, including on special teams.

106. S Antonio Kite (93)
Anniston (Ala.)

115. WR Kobe Prentice (93)
Calera (Ala.)

Folks are just starting to wake up to Alabama natives Antonio Kite and Kobe Prentice’s potential. Prentice made a splash with a 4.38 40-yard dash at a Nick Saban camp. Not quite as quick as Prentice, Kite is a great all-around athlete, proving that on the hardwood as well as the gridiron.

121. TE Amari Niblack (93)
Clearwater (Fla.) Lakewood

124. LB Shawn Murphy (93)
Manassas (Va.) Unity Reed

Coming in at No. 124, Shawn Murphy has a consensus as one of the best linebacker prospects in the country. Physical, aggressive, quick – and a long wingspan – Murphy has plenty of tools to follow in the footsteps of former Alabama LB greats.

139. DL Jaheim Oatis (93)
Columbia (Miss.)

Jaheim Oatis is an absolute behemoth, last measured in June at 6-foot-5 and 387 pounds. There’s no question the Alabama staff has an impressive player to mold into their ideal defensive tackle, but he’ll have to refine his body to maximize his mobility once he gets to campus.

175. TE Elijah Brown (91)
Dayton (Ohio) Wayne

266. IOL Dayne Shor (90)
Alpharetta (Ga.) Denmark

268. DL Walter Bob (90)
Lafayette (La.) Acadiana

Alabama football commit Robert Woodyard earns high 3-star status

Despite ranking between No. 82-134 on other major recruiting services, Mobile (Ala.) Williamson linebacker Robert Woodyard fell shy of the initial On300 rankings.

He is, however, on the cusp of four-star status and a strong senior tape could easily push him over the line for the On3 scouts. As a junior, Woodyard racked up more than 120 tackles while also playing receiver and catching six touchdowns.

Woodyard is the Crimson Tide’s longest standing commitment. He made his pledge in June of 2020.
