SEC Football Media Days will usher in a new season next week in Atlanta from July 14-17.

Three student-athletes from each of the 16 conference schools will travel to the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park with their respective head coaches, and representing Alabama on Wednesday, July 16, alongside their coach, Kalen DeBoer, will be defensive lineman Tim Keenan, linebacker Deontae Lawson and offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor.

Keenan, a redshirt senior, saw his role increase once again during Alabama’s 2024 campaign, as he played in every game and led all Tide defensive linemen with 12 starts. The Birmingham native had his most productive year to date, recording 40 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and two quarterback hurries from his nose tackle position. Keenan elected to come back for a fifth season, where he will once again man the middle of the D-line.

Lawson, a redshirt senior, has registered 20-plus starts in his career, and many thought last fall would be his last at Alabama. However, a season-ending knee injury in late November led to the veteran linebacker coming back for one final season. The quarterback of the Tide’s defense, Lawson finished second on the team in tackles (76), despite missing two and a half games. He is the lone returning captain from DeBoer’s inaugural season at UA.

Proctor, a junior, started 11 straight games at left tackle last season after returning to the field for Alabama’s road matchup with Wisconsin. The 6-foot-7 lineman played 639 snaps, per his online bio, and recorded 54 total knockdown blocks on his way to earning second-team All-SEC honors from the conference coaches. A 24-game starter for the Crimson Tide, Proctor will look to step into a leadership role in 2025 with Tyler Booker turning pro.

The SEC Network will once again televise the four-day event, beginning Monday morning. BamaOnLine will be present on Wednesday to bring subscribers complete coverage.
