Less than a month on the job, Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb is expected to leave the Crimson Tide for the same position with the Seattle Seahawks, per multiple reports.

Grubb was in Seattle on Friday night meeting with members of the Seahawks brass.

Grubb has been with new Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer at Washington, Fresno State, Eastern Michigan and Sioux Falls. He was the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Sioux Falls from 2007-09, the offensive line coach at Eastern Michigan from 2014-16 and the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Fresno State from 2020-21.

Grubb followed DeBoer to Seattle when the latter was named the Huskies head coach. Last season, UW had one of the nation’s top offenses, capping the calendar with the country’s second-best passing offense (343.7 yards per game). Led by quarterback Michael Penix Jr., Washington also finished the 2023-24 campaign ranked inside the 15 nationally in both total offense (462.1 ypg, 12th) and scoring offense (36.0 points per game, 13th).

DeBoer is now looking for a new offensive coordinator. Two early names to watch include Missouri offensive coordinator Kirby Moore and Alabama tight ends coach Nick Sheridan.
