After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Alabama guard Chris Youngblood has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, UA Athletics announced on Friday.

He joins the defending NBA champions, who won Game 7 of the NBA Finals just five days ago. He’ll be on an Exhibit-10 training camp deal, where he will play for the Thunder’s summer league team and be able to compete in training camp later this fall to try to earn a two-way contract.

Youngblood spent just one season with Alabama, his fifth year of eligibility. His Crimson Tide career got off to a rough start with an ankle injury suffered in the preseason, causing him to miss the first month-and-a-half of the season. He made his way back from the injury and worked his way into the starting lineup, averaging 10.3 points and shooting nearly 39 percent from deep on the year while being instrumental in Alabama’s second straight Elite Eight appearance.

Prior to Alabama, he spent three years at Kennesaw State, leading the Owls to the NCAA Tournament in 2023, and spent one year at South Florida in 2024 and was the AAC co-player of the year.

Youngblood is now the fourth Alabama player to receive an undrafted free agent deal, joining former teammates Grant Nelson (Brooklyn Nets) and Cliff Omoruyi (Toronto Raptors) on training camp deals, while Mark Sears signed a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
