Alabama guard Mark Sears earns unanimous first team All-American status

Alabama guard Mark Sears made history this season, becoming the first-ever Crimson Tide player to receive unanimous first team All-American honors.
Sears was named a first team All-American by both the NABC and the USBWA this morning. He was named to the AP All-America first team yesterday, and named a first-teamer by Sporting News last week, encapsulating the four recognized outlets by the NCAA for consensus and unanimous status.
Sears is the third player in program history to be a consensus All-American. He was a consensus second team All-American himself last season, Brandon Miller was a consensus second-teamer in 2023, and Leon Douglas was a consensus second-teamer in 1975.
