Alabama guard Mark Sears signs two-way contract with Milwaukee Bucks

After going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Alabama guard Mark Sears was signed by the Milwaukee Bucks to a two-way contract, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
On a two-way deal, Sears will split his time between the Bucks and their G League franchise, the Wisconsin Herd. He will make a salary of roughly $600K per year, and has the chance to get his contract converted to a standard NBA deal as former Alabama players Keon Ellis and JD Davison have done.
In Milwaukee, Sears will get the chance to play alongside NBA champion and 2-time league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo as well as 9-time all-star Damian Lillard.
Sears just completed a legendary career as one of the Crimson Tide’s all-time great players. The Muscle Shoals, Alabama native transferred back to his home state after spending the first two years of his college career at Ohio, where he became a first team All-MAC level player.

He spent three years in Tuscaloosa, making the All-SEC second team once and being named to the conference’s first team the past two years. He made at least the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament all three years of his Alabama career, including spearheading the program’s first-ever trip to the Final Four in 2024 and being named the West Region’s most outstanding player.
Sears etched his name clearly in the Crimson Tide record books by the end of his career, holding the school record for points in a single season (797) in 2023-24 and climbing all the way to second place on the school’s all-time scoring list, trailing only Reggie King. Sears was also named the school’s first-ever unanimous All-American at the end of the 2024-25 season.
