Alabama is back in the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide earned the No. 8 seed in the 12-team field and will travel to take on No. 9 Oklahoma in the first round on December 19.

Alabama didn’t move in the final rankings, despite a lopsided, 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game. The Tide will now look to take the time in between its loss to the Bulldogs and its postseason rematch with the Sooners to get healthy. It also allows Alabama to focus on itself, as the offense struggled in Atlanta with only 209 yards and -3 on the ground.

The Tide and Sooners will meet for the second time this season and third in the last 13 months. Oklahoma won both meetings and escaped Tuscaloosa with a 23-21 win just last month. Three turnovers from the Alabama offense, as well as a missed field goal, led to the home loss, and the Crimson Tide will attempt to clean up some of the earlier issues for the rematch.
