Alabama unveils official depth chart for Week 1 vs. Florida State

Alabama will kick off the 2025 season later this afternoon, and before game time, the Crimson Tide unveiled its official depth chart for the Week 1 road matchup against Florida State.

A total of 20 newcomers were on the Week 1 depth chart, including 11 true freshmen. Nine of Alabama’s additions via the transfer portal appeared on the depth chart, as well, with five landing on the top lines as starters, or co-starters, of their respective position groups.

There were also 10 “ORs” on the depth chart, signifying an ongoing competition among two or more players. With Jam Miller out, three running backs were listed as co-starters for Alabama’s offense. Right guard Jaeden Roberts (concussion) is cleared to play and available, per Yea Alabama, but the veteran is listed as a co-starter with Geno VanDeMark.

The most “ORs” were on special teams. Alabama did not reveal an outright starter at kicker, punter, long snapper or punt returner. Walk-ons cracked the two-deep at kicker and snapper.
