Alabama's 2024 home game against Georgia set for primetime kickoff
Alabama’s 2024 home game against Georgia will be a primetime matchup.
The Crimson Tide announced on Wednesday morning that its Sept. 28, 2024, game against the Bulldogs at Bryant-Denny Stadium will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT and be broadcast by ABC.
Alabama and Georgia last met during the regular season in 2020 when the Bulldogs also made the trip to Tuscaloosa – UA won that game by a score of 41-24 during the pandemic-affected season. The two SEC powerhouses split the next two meetings in 2021, and the Tide claimed the last matchup in this year’s SEC Championship Game. Alabama owns a 43-26-4 record in the all-time series against the Bulldogs and will face them early next year.
Other known dates on the Crimson Tide’s 2024 football schedule include games against rivals Tennessee (Oct. 19), LSU (Nov. 9) and Auburn (Nov. 30). Before welcoming the in-state Tigers to Tuscaloosa to close out the regular season, Alabama will travel to Oklahoma on Nov. 23. In its non-conference portion of its schedule, the Tide will host Western Kentucky (Aug. 31), South Florida (Sept. 7) and Mercer (Nov. 16) and travel to Wisconsin on Sept. 14.
In addition to those dates, Alabama will also play host to Missouri and South Carolina and travel to Vanderbilt. Dates for those games will be revealed later tonight on SEC Network.
The 2024 season, the SEC’s first without divisions since 1991, will usher in a new television era as next year will begin an exclusive, 10-year deal with ESPN and ABC and the league.
