Alabama's Michael Carroll, Dijon Lee named On3 True Freshman All-Americans
Alabama offensive tackle Michael Carroll and cornerback Dijon Lee Jr. were both named to the 2025 On3 True Freshman All-America Team, the outlet announced Monday.
The All-America honors stand as the first in the careers of the rookie players and represent the first such honors received by the Crimson Tide following the conclusion of the regular season.
Michael Carroll
Offensive Tackle, Freshman
- A powerful, versatile blocker who has produced immediately along the Crimson Tide’s offensive front
- Has seen time in 12 games, including four starts at right tackle during his rookie campaign
- Named to On3’s Midseason True Freshman All-American Team on Oct. 13
- Allowed just two sacks and one quarterback hit across his first 272 collegiate pass blocking snaps, according to Pro Football Focus
- His 78.3 pass blocking grade from PFF stands as the nation’s top grade among freshman tackles, while his 69.0 overall grade is the second-highest grade among first-year tackles
Dijon Lee Jr.
Cornerback, Freshman
- A lengthy defender who has earned extensive playing time in the Crimson Tide’s defensive secondary
- Started five of the last seven games at corner for the Tidem while having seen action in all 13 games
- Totaled 31 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards), to go with two interceptions and four pass breakups
- Surrendered just 12 receptions on 26 targets for a team-low 46.2 percent catch rate during his first season of collegiate football
- Owns an 80.5 coverage grade and 79.0 overall grade from Pro Football Focus, with both marks representing the fourth-highest respective grades among all freshmen cornerbacks in Division I
