BamaOnLine Big Show: Previewing Alabama's 2025 A-Day, huge recruiting weekend

Alabama will close out its 2025 spring season with an A-Day practice on Saturday, April 12, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Rather than a typical spring scrimmage, however, the Crimson Tide will hold a 90-minute practice free for fans to attend. There will also be an autograph session on the field afterward for members of Yea Alabama, the school’s NIL collective.
BamaOnLine staff members Tim Watts, Andrew Bone, Charlie Potter and Blake Byler join forces to preview Alabama’s spring finale, from the practices that have led to this point, the massive recruiting weekend that will be taking place and even a little offseason hoops action.

The Crimson Tide has held 14 spring practices leading up to Saturday’s A-Day, and the BOL Staff gives its takes on the quarterback battle between Ty Simpson, Austin Mack and Keelon Russell, who’s stepping up in place of injured players and which newcomers have stood out so far during their first collegiate practices as members of the Crimson Tide.
In the second half of the show, Bone joins Watts to discuss a huge recruiting weekend that will be taking place in Tuscaloosa. Over 50 prospects will be in town for the final practice of spring camp, and BOL reveals which players it will be watching closely in the coming days.
