BOL Thanksgiving Special: Iron Bowl, Early Signing Period and Feast Week
It’s a busy time of year for Alabama Athletics.
The Crimson Tide men’s basketball team is in the middle for three games in as many days in Las Vegas, the football team will travel to Auburn for the 90th Iron Bowl — with a trip to the SEC Championship Game on the line — and the Early Signing Period is just one week away.
Alabama will travel to the Plains on Saturday, November 29, for a 6:30 p.m. CT kick (on ABC). A win keeps the Crimson Tide’s postseason hopes alive, while a loss would quickly end them. UA has won five straight against its in-state rival, which made a coaching change earlier this year. A lot of eyeballs will be on Jordan-Hare Stadium for the post-Thanksgiving matchup.
The Tide has also been busy on the recruiting trail with 21 commitments in its 2026 class, which ranks No. 6 nationally, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. But there could still be some additions or subtractions from Alabama’s class ahead of the Early Signing Period.

Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide men’s basketball team are off to a 4-2 start and has already had two games in Las Vegas, losing to Gonzaga, 95-85, and defeating UNLV, 115-76. UA will round out its time in Sin City with another late tip tonight against Maryland (11 p.m. CT on TNT).
