BOL Video: BamaOnLine predicts Alabama breakout players, SEC champion

Alabama will officially kick off the 2025 college football season in eight days, when it travels to Tallahassee, Florida, to take on the Florida State Seminoles on August 30 (2:30 p.m. CT).
But before the Crimson Tide kicks off Year 2 of the Kalen DeBoer era, the SEC announced some news for next football season — and beyond. In 2026, every SEC team will play nine conference games plus a mandatory Power Four matchup. Alabama and the other 16 SEC schools will face three permanent opponents (to be announced) and six rotating foes each fall.
We’ll learn more about that later this year, but right now, the Tide is getting ready for its 2025 campaign. BamaOnLine staffers (and old heads) Charlie Potter, Tim Watts and Andrew Bone join forces to preview the upcoming football season, covering a wide variety of subjects.
The Alabama-related topics discussed by the guys include:
— SEC moving to 9-game schedule in 2026
— Alabama’s four captains for 2025 season
— What the guys are most excited to see on Aug. 30
— Breakout players on Alabama’s offense
— Breakout players on Alabama’s defense
— Who will play for/win the SEC championship
— And much, much more!
