Eleven Alabama players included on initial SEC Championship Game availability report
Alabama Football issued its first availability report of the week on Wednesday evening.
Eleven Crimson Tide players were featured on the initial report for the SEC Championship Game. The biggest surprise was Bandit defensive end LT Overton being listed as out. Overton came up for interviews on Tuesday. Kalen DeBoer will speak to reporters on Thursday.
Running back Jam Miller and tight end Josh Cuevas were both listed as questionable. Cuevas has missed the last two contests with a foot injury he suffered during the week leading up to the Eastern Illinois game. He wore a walking boot the last two weeks. Miller suffered an injury at Auburn and was later seen on crutches. DeBoer shared the latest on Sunday.
“I would expect Josh to probably not be with us for the weekend,” DeBoer said. “Still don’t have much more information on Jam. He’ll continue to go through his testing early this week here today and tomorrow.”
Starting left guard Kam Dewberry and tight end Danny Lewis are also listed as questionable.
Jah-Marien Latham (neck) and Jeremiah Beaman (knee) are out for the season. Running back Kevin Riley, offensive lineman Mal Waldrep and defensive back Kameron Howard are out.
Defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will miss a fifth straight game due to a suspension.
The No. 9 Crimson Tide (10-2, 7-1 SEC) will face No. 3 Georgia (11-1, 7-1) in the 2025 SEC Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 6, in Atlanta. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CT on ABC.

SEC Availability Report Policies
Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
Prior to a Saturday football game, an institution must issue the Initial Report on Wednesday by 7 p.m. CT and update the Availability Report once per day on Thursday and Friday (after the conclusion of practice and before 7 p.m.). On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time.
Designated Participation Statuses
If an institution has knowledge that a student-athlete may not be able to participate in the upcoming game for any reason (including, but not limited to, injury, illness, suspension, ineligibility, or personal matter), the institution must accurately designate the student-athlete’s participation status on the Initial Report as follows:
– Out – Will not play / 0% chance to play
– Doubtful – Unlikely to play / 25% chance to play
– Questionable – Uncertain to play / 50% chance to play
– Probable – Probable to play / 75% chance to play
