Florida State QB doubles down: 'We stand on what I said' about Alabama

Florida State quarterback Thomas Castellanos made headlines when he spoke to On3’s Pete Nakos earlier this summer and provided some potent bulletin board material for Alabama.
“I’m excited, man,” Castellanos told Nakos. “People, I don’t know if they know, but you go back and watch every first game that I played in, we always start fast.
“I dreamed of moments like this. I dreamed of playing against Alabama. They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I just don’t see them stopping me.”
On Wednesday at ACC Kickoff, Castellanos doubled down on his now-viral comments.
“We stand on what I said,” Castellanos said, via Warchant. “I said what I said. We stand on that. I don’t mean no disrespect to none of those guys at Alabama or anything like that. I have confidence in my guys and the work we’ve been putting in and preparing and the preparation we’ve been putting together. That’s all that was.

“No disrespect to those guys. But we stand on what I said.”
Alabama will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, on August 30 to take on the Seminoles. It will be a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ABC and the Crimson Tide’s first trip to Doak Campbell Stadium.
At SEC Media Days last week in Atlanta, Alabama’s players were expectedly asked about the comments made by their Game 1 opponent. Veteran linebacker Deontae Lawson and defensive lineman Tim Keenan shared similar answers while at the College Football Hall of Fame.
“It definitely ignites us a little bit,” Lawson said. “We can’t really think too much on that. It’s gonna come down to what we do and how we prepare that week.
“I think all disrespect will be addressed accordingly.”
Keenan echoed, “The disrespect will be addressed.”
